Is this the Moor that Noble Drew Ali followers take such pride in? Are these the Moors that the Moorish Science Temple followers ask the world to accept as our Black heritage and give allegiance to? Nearly every Black scholar on record relates the same brutal account of how the Moors butchered and enslaved their fellow Black African Sub-Saharan brothers and sisters in Africa. Now, the modern day new age movement of Moorish adherents want to, in the same narcissistic fashion, denigrate the American Black man and Black Woman by denouncing our Blackness and generational roots to our dear Mother Africa. Morocco STILL has Black slaves! I see NOTHING redeeming for Black people in America to adhere to in Moroccos past or present place in history that would entice me in the slightest manner to want to raise a Moroccan flag as my ensign. I cant stand the inhumane treatment of Black people that the American flag is symbolic of. Why would I kick it to the curb, just to pick up another flag that is just as dehumanizing as the stars and stripes? I want a flag that represents true freedom. Neither the American flag nor the Moroccan flag represent freedom for the Black people of America. Every Black person that calls him or herself a Moor ought to be as outraged with a Moorish slave trader as a white slave trader. To think that I would condone being enslaved by a Black person anymore than a white person, would be absolute insanity.
