Is writing this status not for sympathy, a row or attention but for understanding from some people on Facebook that comments have really hit a nerve .... Some may say that Robin Williams death was a selfish act and he inflicted unnecessary pain on his loved ones but I want to explain something. Suicide is an impulsive act undertaken in pure desperation as the twisted thoughts and the demons you fight become to intense to control. Statistically 1 in 3 people will suffer from intense depression and anxiety on my Facebook alone that is 116 people. 8 in 10 will suffer mild depression. Out of these statistics only 2 in 8 will get the treatment/help they need. Its not just the fog and dark twisted thoughts in the mind that the person will be battling its the constant physical pain in the chest muscles bones any place that there is a nerve ending. The deep paranoia that the suffer is a nuisance and has done something wrong weather theres contact or not. Then theres the fear of judgements and the deep loneliness that no one can understand. The change in personality as you just cant trust anyone. And last but not least the fear of rejection so you reject everyone to protect yourself but really your twisting the knife further in yourself. You grip on to anyone because your scared of being alone but fear the judgement if you do so. Each day is a constant vicious battle that sometimes you dont want to suffer .... Death becomes nothing because in your head youll be free; free of the torture free of the pain free of the paranoia free of the heartache free of rejection and free of being a burden for everyone around you that you believe you are a hinderance too. But you want to survive and say Ive done it Ive fought my demons Im in control and Im going to have the life I want and will lead because the dark days will get less and the happy times will get More and once your through it (you wont know when or how) it will all be worth while .... So before you call Robin Williams selfish try and understand that for him hes released himself of being a burden set his family free and the unfortunately become another statistic of this dark dangerous and over powering disease .... Rest in peace kind sir may you be free of your daemons đđ
