This feature places all boot files next to each other on the hard disk for faster booting. This option is enabled by default , but on some systems it is not, so below is the explanation how to turn it on:- Go to Start Menu and Click Run Type regedit , then click OK Go to “HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREMicrosoftDfrgBootOptimizeFunction” Select Enable from the list on the right Right click on it and select “Modify” Change the value to Y ( if it is not yet enable ) On Windows 7, there is function that rearranges boot files to grant faster access on them, resulting in shorter boot up time.
