Is your dog afraid to go to the vet? Cooper used to go to the vet with his tail happily wagging. After a rough year of many vet visits with health issues, he is now afraid. Today I took him to the vet just to visit the staff and provide him with high value food rewards. Im working on changing his negative association back to positive association. If your dog is fearful of the vets office take him for short visits each month and provide him with some really good treats such as hot dogs or cheese. Hell associate the vet with good things. By the time you have to go for your next annual exam your dog will be happy to make the visit!
