Isa. 41:8-9: "“But you, Israel, are My servant, Jacob whom I have chosen, the descendants of Abraham My friend. You whom I have taken from the ends of the earth, & called from its farthest regions, & said to you, ‘You are My servant, I have chosen you & have not cast you away:" God again revealed His faithfulness to Israel by reminding them of the covenant that made them His chosen ones. God always keeps His covenants, so though Israel often strayed from Him, He never cast them away because of His bond with Abraham, Isaac, & Jacob. Because of Jesus, we have an everlasting covenant with God, beloved. Let us honor Him daily with our lives. (A.R.S.)
