Isaac Dillard was 3-for-4 with two RBIs and two runs scored as Florence rallied for four runs in the top of the seventh inning to upend top-ranked Sparkman in the second game of a doubleheader, 8-6. Hunter Kiel also drove in two runs and had two hits including a homerun. Carter Waddell pitched the final 2/3 of an inning to pick up the win, while Sparkmans Chandler Finlaw (0-1) was tagged with the loss after allowing two hits and four runs in 1 2/3 innings pitched. Jared Howell was 2-for-4 with three RBIs and Tanner Burns was 2-for-3 with an RBI to lead the Senators (26-6) at the plate. Earlier in the day, Florence rallied for three runs in the top of the sixth inning to tie the game, but Breonn Pooler answered with an RBI single to drive in the winning run in the bottom of the seventh to give Class 6A No. 1 host Sparkman the win over Florence in game one, 4-3. Pooler was 2-for-4 in the game while Jerry Moseley (1-0) picked up the win on the mound pitching the seventh inning with no hits and no runs allowed for the Senators. Bryant Claunch took the loss for Florence with seven hits and four runs allowed while walking one and striking out five while Ladarius Woods was 3-for-4 to lead the offense.
