I am not against the Idea of an Oro man becoming governor. Not at all. But what I hate is the anti-Ibibio sentiments and abuses coming from some Oro people. Without an Oro vote, an Ibibio can still become governor; but without Ibibio votes, no Oron man can become Akwa Ibom governor. The Oro should lobby the Ibibio quietly and give us their sincere assurances. Open vituperations and grandstanding will do them more harm than good. As is often said: the minority would always have their say, and the majority: their way.
