Isaiah 40:31 But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint. As we look at this very familiar verse of scripture tonight, I think that this is one of the toughest concepts of christian life for us to grasp. I believe that most of us have an extremely difficult time learning how to wait upon the Lord!!!!! The other night we were talking about having faith in God, and that having faith also means learning to simply follow Him. Remember, we need to realize that God has control of all things, and that there is nothing that He cant do!!!!!! He has all power in heaven and on earth, nothing is impossible with Him, but remember, He always has a plan. And His plan for our lives may not, and usually isnt by the way, be the same as our plan for our lives!!!!!! The reason for this is that God sees the whole picture, He sees the big picture, He sees things that we through our carnal minds and fleshly eyes are not capable of seeing!!!!!! He knows that we are capable of dealing with situations through Him, that we would never even dream that we could handle. Thats why we so often do not understand why we are in situations that to us seem impossible to handle, and yet God promised us that He would not allow us to go through anything that we were not able to bear. Those situations, we may not be able to bear them in the flesh, or on our own, but remember, we can do all things through Christ which strengthens us!!!!!!! He tells us in His word that all things work together for good to those that love the Lord, who are the called according to His purpose. He tells us that we are more than conquerors through Him!!!!! We need to realize to just trust in Him, to allow His will to be done!!!!!!! Let us look a couple of scriptures that I think are important for us to remember. Isaiah 55:8-9 tells us For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts. He has a plan, whatever it is that we are going through, whatever we are struggling with, He has a plan, and He will bring us through it!!!!!!!! Remember, He tells us in Jeremiah that He knows the plans that He has for us, plans to prosper us, and not to harm us!!!!! We just need to learn to trust in Him with all our heart and lean not on our own understanding. Remember we walk by faith and not by sight!!!! We have to learn to trust in God!!!!!! I know that sounds so easy, but we have such a hard time putting ourselves aside and trusting Him and following Him through things that we cannot see, But Jesus tells us to humble ourselves as little children. Remember also bin Psalm 46:10 He tells us Be still and know that I am God!!!!!!! In Exodus, Moses told the children of Israel to stand still and see the salvation of the Lord. We just need to learn to trust in Him and wait on Him, and He will take care of us!!!!!!!!! Think about it, as we have said many times, Let Go and Let God!!!!!!!!! GOD BLESS YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
