Isaiah 40:31 “But those who wait on the LORD Shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint.” God’s timing is flawless. He has shown me over and over again He is almighty and his plan is greater than anything I could imagine. My husband and I made the toughest decision of our life with the Lord’s guidance this week to bring Claire home. I prayed fervently the Lord would bring her home peacefully to alleviate any decision I would have to make. At that time I was really struggling with that unanswered prayer until I saw God’s plan unfold. Now my anguish and pleading has turned into rejoicing. God’s timing is perfect. After a difficult decision to stop treatment, Jordan and I drove home on Friday with Claire. Soon after arriving we learned that Claire had inspired a good friend, her baby sitter, to give her life to Christ. The following day Jordan was given the honor of baptizing her along with my mother and my sister. My daughter’s journey for the last 10 months led my mom to rededicate her life to the Lord, and my sister to make a decision to accept Christ as her Lord and Savior. The praise does not end there. My father, Claire’s grandpa, has also been moved and will accept salvation through the blood of Jesus Christ and be baptized by Jordan early this week. All of this happened within 24 hours of being home brining continued peace and joy in our decision to honor our daughter’s life with her last days being at home among family. The Lord knew how hard it was to make the choice to stop. I believe that is why within a few hours of returning home He began to reveal to me the best part in his plan for Claire’s journey by answering my constant prayer of more than 8 years. He sent my precious daughter to this Earth with a powerful and inspiration testimony to save those closest to me, my family. My daughter’s short life has led my family to an eternity together. PRAISE GOD!!!!!! Psalm 37:4 “Delight yourself in the LORD and he will give you the desires of your heart.” Within a few hours of being home God sent me the encouragement and inspiration I needed to rejoice in her life and the moments she has left. Claire has brought more glory to His kingdom in 20 months than I have in 20 years. I believe that is why God is bringing her home early. Despite being sick and displaced from home, Claire has known only love, joy, family, and happiness on her days here. Her innocence protects her from sorrow, mourning, fear, and self pity. The Lord is going to bring her home before she is aware of pain, cruelness, and imperfection in this fallen world. One day soon in Heaven Claire’s innocence will be removed and she will be filled with knowledge, learning of the work she did for Christ here on Earth with no memory of the pain and sickness from cancer only the love of family and the glory she brought to God. Claire’s life is a blessing to me, I realize that more with each passing moment. When I am on the other side of Heaven this life will seem brief as I spend eternity with my WHOLE family thanks to Claire. I have no regrets, anger, or frustration only praise for the great work God accomplished through her life. I pray that God continues to use Claire’s life to impact those around her, turn hearts to Christ, grow love for the Lord, and inspire others to accept salvation until her last breath. Thank you Lord for allowing me to love, nurture, and care for your daughter, Claire Elliot Parker, a lighthouse for your kingdom here on Earth. May Jordan and I cherish each remaining moment with her.
