Isaiah 41:10 ESV Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. This was written to the Jews exiled in Babylon. I think I can relate to exile - can you? Those times when difficult decisions have to be made, life-altering decisions. Those times when circumstances beyond our control are so painful it seems as if we are shaken to our very soul. We feel so alone even amongst our brothers and sisters. Anyone ever walked that road? Its a comfort to know God gives us His word to remind us that although we may be facing a difficult time, difficult decisions and painful circumstances we dont need to be afraid, we are not alone and its not our strength we need to rely upon. When we grab ahold of the promises of God, stand on them, own them and walk in them with our eyes fixed squarely on the Cross of Jesus Christ our living testimony brings honor and glory to the one who walks us through the exile into the promised land.
