Isaiah 42:9. God is awesome because He is able to do more than just see the future, He is able to declare what the future will be. Seeing the future and declaring the future is something that only God can do. God is all powerful, all present, and all knowing. If He says that something is to be, it happens. This is Gods nature to promise and declare things, and then these promises come true. As the Creator of the Universe, God has the ability to create the future just as He created the Universe and has fulfilled all of His promises from the beginning of time. When we really begin to understand Gods nature in regard to declaring and promising things, we realize that we can trust Him with our future. The Bible provides us with ample evident that whatever God promises comes true. Many of Gods promises and declarations have already come true, and all the rest of His promises will come true in the future.
