Isaiah 42:9 (NIV) See, the former things have taken place, and new things I declare; before they spring into being I announce them to you. *** With Gods word ever true, we can wait with great anticipation and expectation when He announces things that will catapult His church into areas not yet explored. If He chooses not to send His Son, Jesus for His bride (the church) today, be assured that there will be new things periodically, as He wills, until that time. Also, be assured that, along the way, He will cause a time of catalysis that will effect a possible change of direction in what were doing, or the method by which we are doing it. It could be that He will not change direction, but will intensify the burden, necessitating much more prayer to get more done, in the area in which we have been working, that heretofore has not. Whatever the case, know that God will not, if we are really desirous of serving Him, let us be content in the same old rut wherein we have been laboring ineffectively, but will, with an announcement that He is going to do a new thing, equip His church to bear up under the burden, task, and accomplishment of that task. So what must we do? Quit living in and being satisfied with the former things and listen for His announcement of new things to come, and look for the catalyst that will thrust us into the new!
