Isaiah 49:16a Behold, I have graven thee upon the palms of my hands; Isaiah 49:16 (NLT) See, I have written your name on the palms of my hands. Todays Thoughts: Have you ever wondered if God is speaking to you? Are you ready to hope again? Are you ready to let go of doubt and sorrow? Maybe it time that we accept that the One who made it all thinks of me and you personally -- that He keeps our name on His heart and lips. Its true. In the Bible and in the circumstances of our life, He whispers our name lovingly. Tenderly. Patiently but persistently. May we listen closely as we turn these pages of His Word. Listen for the Fathers gentle whisper that can erase our doubt, our sorrow, our weariness, our despair. It really is your and mine name that we hear, and the Voice that calls is more loving that we ever dared dream. Listen. And learn to hope again. God loves us and we need Him. When I see a flock of sheep I see exactly that, a flock. A rabble of wool. I don’t see a sheep. I see sheep. All alike. None different. But not so with the Shepherd. To him every sheep is different. Every face has a story. John 10:3 says, “The sheep listen to the voice of the shepherd. He calls his own sheep by name.” When I see a crowd, I see exactly that, a crowd. I see people, not persons. A herd of humans. But not so with the Shepherd. To him every face is different. Every face is a story. The Shepherd knows you. He knows your name. And he will never forget it. God said in Isaiah 49:16, “I have written your name on my hand.” Quite a thought isn’t it? My name on God’s lips. WOW !!!!!!!!! I dont know about you but I needed to be reminded today.
