Isaiah 55:8-9 8 For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,” declares the Lord. 9 As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts. Proverbs 20:24 The LORD directs our steps, so why try to understand everything along the way? 1 Corinthians 13:12 For now we see in a mirror dimly, but then face to face; now I know in part, but then I will know fully just as I also have been fully known. Psalm 37:23 The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord we all know that God opens doors; favor, good breaks, promotion, that’s the hand of God opening the door. but the same God that opens doors will close doors our thinking is limited, God’s plan for your life is so much bigger than your own plan, that if God didn’t close certain doors it would keep you from your destiny. God’s way is better than your way, His plan is bigger than your plan, his dream for your life is more rewarding, more fulfilling, better than you’ve ever dreamed of. stay open and let God do it His way. put the request on the altar; say “God, You know what it means to me, if it’s not Your best I don’t want it. I trust You.” when you come to a closed door, that is a test of your faith; are you going to get bitter, live in self-pity, give up on your dreams, or move forward knowing that God is still in control? If you will pass the test, God will release what He has in your future. Many times it will be exactly what you’re praying for. God will bring that person back, or He’ll bring an opportunity or that dream to pass, God just wants to see do you trust Him enough to be happy even if it doesn’t happen your way. When you face a disappointment, a closed door, your plans don’t work out, and you keep a good attitude, you stay in faith, you are passing the test; that’s what allows God to give you back what you really want the most. if you’re trying to figure everything out, all that’s going to do is make you confused. let it go and move forward, God can see things that you can’t see. it may not make sense right now, but one day when God’s whole plan unfolds you’ll see what God is up to. part of trusting is saying “God I don’t understand it, it doesn’t seem fair, but God I believe that my steps and my stops are ordered by you. I know that just as You can open doors You will close doors. I’m going to keep a good attitude and move forward in faith knowing that You have my best interests at heart. right now you can’t see it all clearly, but one day it will come into focus, and you’ll look back and say “Wow, God you are amazing. you had it all figured out, all lined up, You closed the door on purpose so Your perfect will would be done.” don’t fight your closed doors. God knows what He’s doing; He can see the big picture for your life. those closed doors were not an accident, that was God directing your steps; the reason God closed them is because He has something better in store
