Isaiah 6:8-10 “Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying: whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Then I said, here am I, send me.” “And He said, go, and tell this people: keep on hear, but do not understand; keep on seeing, but do not perceive.” “Make the heart of this people dull, and their ears heavy, and shut their eyes; lest they see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their heart, and return and be healed.” God told Isaiah to go and tell the people if they keep on hearing, and if they will not understand; and if they keep on seeing, but will not perceive. Then God will by their understanding and actions, making their minds dull by rejecting His Word they will be lost, unless they see with their eyes and hear with their ears and understand with their minds and return and be saved. God is the lawgiver and therefore He is able to save man from man’s sins, and He is able to destroy those who will not obey Him. (James 4:12) Romans 11:23 “And they also, if they do not continue in unbelief, will be grafted in, for God is able to graft them in again.” After one has obeyed the Gospel and then turn again unto the world and its lust even thou he was a believer he will be cut off because of unbelief if he continues in sin. Only through repentance and continuing in the goodness of God and abandon their unbelief, shall they again be grafted in. they were not cut off by a decree of God casting them away, but by their own unbelief they were cut off. God could save Daniel from the lion’s den, and today He can save people from the dens of iniquity. (Daniel 6: 19-23) In verse 23 we see that God Saved DANIEL because Daniel believed in His God. There is a song that we sometimes sing that says “He is able to deliver you.” However, man has to do what God tells him to do in order for him to be saved. Romans 6: 17-18 “But God be thanked that though you were slaves of sin, yet you obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine to which you were delivered.” “And having been set free from sin, you become slaves of righteousness.” Not that they had been sinners, but that, having been sinners, they had become obedient to Christ. And by doing so they had obeyed from the mind because no outward obedience is of the slightest value unless the mind turns to God. I thank God, that although you were formerly the slaves of sin, you have willingly obeyed the mold of doctrine into which you were cast at baptism. Because of the nature of Paul’s reasoning, and the fact that it is founded on the significance of baptism, this seems probable. When we died to sin, and were buried into Christ therefore, being no longer sin’s servants, we became servants of righteousness. therefore after becoming righteous by doing what God has directed in His word for us to do then God is able to delivery us, because, we became qualified to be delivered.
