Isaiah 60:1-22 (KJV) (PERSONALIZED) 1 Arise, shine; for my light is come, and the glory of the LORD is risen upon me. 2 For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but the LORD shall arise upon me, and his glory shall be seen upon me. 3 And the Gentiles shall come to my light, and kings to the brightness of my rising. 4 Lift up mine eyes round about, and see: all they gather themselves together, they come to me: my sons shall come from far, and my daughters shall be nursed at my side. 5 Then I shalt see, and flow together, and mine heart shall fear, and be enlarged; because the abundance of the sea shall be converted unto me, the forces of the Gentiles shall come unto me. 6 The multitude of camels shall cover me, the dromedaries of Midian and Ephah; all they from Sheba shall come: they shall bring gold and incense; and they shall shew forth the praises of the LORD. 7 All the flocks of Kedar shall be gathered together unto me, the rams of Nebaioth shall minister unto me: they shall come up with acceptance on His altar, and He will glorify the house of His glory. 8 Who are these that fly as a cloud, and as the doves to their windows? 9 Surely the isles shall wait for Him, and the ships of Tarshish first, to bring my sons from far, their silver and their gold with them, unto the name of the LORD my God, and to the Holy One of Israel, because he hath glorified me. 10 And the sons of strangers shall build up my walls, and their kings shall minister unto me: for in His wrath He smote me, but in His favour has He had mercy on me. 11 Therefore my gates shall be open continually; they shall not be shut day nor night; that men may bring unto me the forces of the Gentiles, and that their kings may be brought. 12 For the nation and kingdom that will not serve me shall perish; yea, those nations shall be utterly wasted. 13 The glory of Lebanon shall come unto me, the fir tree, the pine tree, and the box together, to beautify the place of His sanctuary; and He will make the place of His feet glorious. 14 The sons also of them that afflicted me shall come bending unto me; and all they that despised me shall bow themselves down at the soles of my feet; and they shall call me, The city of the LORD, The Precious of the Holy One of Israel. 15 Whereas thou hast been forsaken and hated, so that no man went through me, He will make me an eternal excellency, a joy of many generations. 16 I shalt also suck the milk of the Gentiles, and shalt suck the breast of kings: and I shalt know that He the LORD is my Saviour and my Redeemer, the Mighty One of Jacob. 17 For brass He will bring gold, and for iron He will bring silver, and for wood brass, and for stones iron: He will also make my officers peace, and mine exactors righteousness. 18 Violence shall no more be heard in my land, wasting nor destruction within my borders; but I shalt call my walls Salvation, and my gates Praise. 19 The sun shall be no more my light by day; neither for brightness shall the moon give light unto me: but the LORD shall be unto me an everlasting light, and my God my glory. 20 My sun shall no more go down; neither shall my moon withdraw itself: for the LORD shall be mine everlasting light, and the days of my mourning shall be ended. 21 My people also shall be all righteous: they shall inherit the land for ever, the branch of His planting, the work of His hands, that He may be glorified. 22 A little one shall become a thousand, and a small one a strong nation: He the LORD will hasten it in its time.
