Isaiah 7:14Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign: The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and will call him Immanuel. Matthew 1:23 The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and they will call him Immanuel (which means God with us). The angel answered, The Holy Spirit will come on you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you. So the holy one to be born will be called the Son of God. Matthew 1:18Now the birth of Jesus Christ was as follows: when His mother Mary had been betrothed to Joseph, before they came together she was found to e with child by the Holy Spirit. For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily. (Colossians 2:9) The doctrine states that the Godhead, the Father, Son and Holy Spirit, consists of three distinct Persons, yet these three are one God. There are many arguments espoused by those that deny the Trinity, but the most prevalent is: How can God be One God and at the same time be three Persons? The problem with that question is that it is based in ignorance of what God has said about Himself. The Bible, the Word of God, plainly states the plurality of God and that God is One God. To accept His Word means to believe what God has revealed. The truth of the Trinity is a revealed truth that is established in the credibility of God Himself. 1 John 5:7 states For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one Thus saith the LORD the King of Israel, and his redeemer the LORD of hosts; I am the first, and I am the last; and beside me there is no God.” (Isaiah 44:6) I, even I, am the LORD; and beside me there is no saviour.” (Isaiah 43:11) “Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am.” (John 8:58) “I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty. . . . Saying, I am Alpha and Omega, the first and the last: and, What thou seest, write in a book, and send it unto the seven churches which are in Asia; unto Ephesus, and unto Smyrna, and unto Pergamos, and unto Thyatira, and unto Sardis, and unto Philadelphia, and unto Laodicea.” (Revelation 1:8, 11) Silly Christians argue over whether or not Jesus is God , or the Son of God- He is both- and they wonder why I wont attend church today - Preach from a Book and havent a clue what it says.
