Isaiah Ch.36 Mickey’s Daily Bread Intimidation. This is the word that can be placed across this whole chapter. Listen to the words of Rabshakeh the envoy of Sennacherib as he taunts the people of God with mockery and enticements to yield to his master. Isaiah 36:13-15 (KJV) 13 Then Rabshakeh stood, and cried with a loud voice in the Jews language, and said, Hear ye the words of the great king, the king of Assyria. 14 Thus saith the king, Let not Hezekiah deceive you: for he shall not be able to deliver you. 15 Neither let Hezekiah make you trust in the LORD, saying, The LORD will surely deliver us: this city shall not be delivered into the hand of the king of Assyria. This form of taunting is often used by our foe as he with his subtle whispering says “do not make a stand for God,” do not witness for the Lord Jesus, no-one wants to hear anyway”, “ why make yourself look like a fool?”.” Do not seek to oppose me for I will defeat you look what I have done to others.” We must always remember the Devil is a liar and the Father of them and resist every suggestion that is contrary to the Word of God confessing and acknowledging that, 1 John 4:4 (KJV) 4 Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.
