Isla got admitted to our local hospital yesterday. She had been unwell with abdominal pain at home for a few days but yesterday she spiked a temp. Shes had the usual stuff done but because they can see no reason for a temp spike they have to treat it as her line. Shes been started on the usual IV antibiotics. She wasnt too bad during the day just had really high heart rate. Once TPN was put up and run through a couple of hours shes spiked a temp again and has done all night :0( which its looking more likely now that it is her line. So it will be waiting game on blood cultures now to find out if shes on the right antibiotics to treat the infection and get her well again. I will keep you all updated on any news. Such a shame she was doing so well.
