Isnt it amazing what can be achieved and highlighted when the people of Ireland rally together and stand up for something they believe to be unfair. Now imagine if the people of Ireland put this passion behind something with substance, something that screams of unfairness and the ill treatment of the vulnerable. Imagine what could be achieved and uncovered regarding abuse in the church, the ill treatment of the vulnerable, corruption in politics, the treatment of asylum seekers, the medical card debacle, the banking situation, mortgage arrears, water taxes, property taxes (the list goes on). I have nothing against concerts or musicans might I add but the word shame and be ashamed of ourselves is floating around everywhere. My shame is that this country for decades has permitted the ill treatment of the vulnerable, not that a country music concert may or may not go ahead. All concerts are subject to license and not all concerts get their license. Shame we cant say the same for those we put in power whether they be politicians or responsible for the vulnerable . . . . . . Now IMAGINE WHAT WE COULD ACHIEVE . . . . Marie
