Isnt it weird, how on a day like today we are able to channel and feel the exact same feelings that we felt 13 years ago? Its trauma. Its what it does. It nestles into our hearts and takes up vacancy, for life. It never leaves us. It takes its place in our daily lives in some way. You do not carry something so heavy and not notice the added weight. The images. Man, oh man, those images. Some are crystal clear. Some we choose not to put in our mental albums. Just too much. The one of the gentlemen upsidedown in midair in his suit, well that picture just rips your heart apart, every single time. The footage. Footage of the crashes. Footage of the Heros. Footage of a reality that has no place being real. Today, is just a solemn day. It always will be for those of us who were here to witness it. So today.... we love louder. We hug tighter. We appreciate all that we have. We remember the bond that we shared the weeks and months to follow. Imagine if we lived like that all the time? I want to know why we dont live like that all the time. God bless this Country. God bless the men and woman who are brave enough to do what I could never do. God bless the victims of this senseless act of terror. God bless their families. I am so proud to be an American because the people of this country are brave. Bravery touches me. As dusk settles on this somber anniversary.... may peace be with us, always. ❤️
