Isnt there any accountability for those who indulge in renovating monuments, specially the ones of high stature as these...? Just last week stood astonished at the efforts put in by Aga Khan Foundation to renovate the Humayuns Tomb in Delhi... this is exactly the opposite... I dont think these are just callous work, but presume there is something more sinister and these are wanton methods of belittling the sculptures :( I wish the ASI officials and all others involved are taken to task.
