Isolation, going 0-60 in a nanosecond, becoming easily overwhelmed - TopicsExpress

Isolation, going 0-60 in a nanosecond, becoming easily overwhelmed with life in general are all common with PTSD. I still do it and many vets I speak with still have issues from time to time with this. While Shawn knows and understands added pressure can make the situation way worse on me, she does her best to work with me to help me as much as possible. But it is still easy to sometimes forget the connection you share with your spouse due to all the stress and phases caused by PTSD. I think sometimes it is hard for us to remember what that feels like. We forget actually what feeling anything feels like other than our symptoms and reactions. Thats normal and its okay so long as you know this and recognize this. Then once your self aware you can actual start trying to remember what that connection felt like.-Justin
