Israel Launches Strikes On Syrian Missile Sites U.S. officials have confirmed Israel struck Syrian missile sites in two different locations. The sites contained surface to air missile systems slated for delivery to Hezbollah. The strikes took out SA-8 anti-aircraft missiles, which are truck-mounted and highly mobile. Russian-made Neva S-125 surface-to-air anti-aircraft missiles and an SA-3 missile battery were also struck. The pro-regime Syrian news outlet Dam Press reported the sites were heavily damaged but there were no injuries. Israel carried out the strike from the Mediterranean. The Lebanese government news agency reported six Israeli aircraft flew through Lebanese airspace along the coast north of Beirut.
