Israel Stumbled, Then Fell, Then Was Blinded, Cast Away, and Loammi December 10, 2014 I try to scripturally distinguish between Gods treatment of the nation of Israel, and Gods treatment of individual Israelites, as those two treatments change at different times in the scripture. Before Paul, God was working with the nation of israel. For awhile after Pauls salvation, rather than pull the rug out from under individual, believing Israelites, God continued working with Individual Israelites who believed (Romans 11:5). Romans 11:11 shows me that Israels stumbling is not the same as Israels fall, nor did they happen at the same time. The following scriptures pretty well place Israels stumbling as being at the crucifixion of Christ. Romans 9:32 Wherefore? Because they sought it not by faith, but as it were by the works of the law. For they stumbled at that stumblingstone; Romans 9:33 As it is written, Behold, I lay in Sion a stumblingstone and rock of offence: and whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. Romans 11:11 I say then, Have they stumbled that they should fall? God forbid: but rather through their fall salvation is come unto the Gentiles, for to provoke them to jealousy. 1 Corinthians 1:23 But we preach Christ crucified, unto the Jews a stumblingblock, and unto the Greeks foolishness; Daniel 9:26 shows that Messiah was cut off, but not for Himself, AFTER threescore and two weeks. Those threescore and two weeks came after the Daniel 9:25 seven weeks. In other words, Messiah was cut off AFTER the 69th week of years after 450 BC. That was at the cross of crucifixion for our Lord Jesus Christ, and that was Israels stumblingblock at which they stumbled, according to Romans 9:32 and 1st Corinthians 1:23. Romans 11:11a shows me that by Acts 20, when Paul wrote to all that be in Rome, Israel had already STUMBLED, but at the time of their stumbling, their FALL was yet to be determined. Again, they are different events in Israels history, and not related to anything regarding the body of Christ or the one new man, that had not yet been revealed by the time of Israels stumbling or fall. I find Israels FALL FROM BEING OFFERED THEIR KINGDOM IMMEDIATELY, happening as a direct result of Israel being documented as committing the only unforgivable sin that the Lord told about. Matthew 12:31 Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men. Matthew 12:32 And whosoever speaketh a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but whosoever speaketh against the Holy Ghost, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, neither in the world to come. I do not attribute Israels fall to Christ standing up from His position, seated at the right hand of the Father, although that coincides with Israel committing their unforgivable sin. I do not attribute Israels fall to the baseball cliche three strikes and youre out, referring to: (1) Israel having rejected the FATHER by disregarding the Old Testament prophets through and including John the Baptist, (2) Israel rejecting the SON by crucifying Him, (3) Israel rejecting the words of the HOLY GHOST coming out of Stephens mouth, him being filled with the Holy Ghost. I attribute the fall of the NATION of Israel directly to their committing of the unforgivable sin that they were representatively warned about in Matthew 12:31-32. The fall of the NATION of Israel was the stoning of Holy Ghost filled Stephen while he was speaking the Holy Ghosts word to Israels hierarchy, from the High Priest (Acts 7:1) on down (Acts 6:12, 15). Israels fall did not occur at Israels stumbling at the cross , but later, at Israels unforgivable sin. Israels fall is NOT Israels being blinded, cut off, broken off the olive tree, Loammi. Israels fall is their fall from still being offered the at-hand kingdom. After the stoning of Stephen, God was still working with individual Israelites as can be seen in Acts 8 and Acts 10. But Israel had fallen from receiving Gods unconditional covenant with them to CURSE HIM THAT CURSETH THEE (including the Gentiles). After Israels fall (stoning Stephen) God was justified in patterning a salvation to the Gentiles, apart from Israel. That is what God did, almost immediately after Israels fall. Acts 9:1 And Saul, YET BREATHING OUT threatenings and slaughter against the disciples of the Lord, went unto the high priest.... If Israels 70 weeks were not separated at Israels fall, then much more than the 70 weeks would have occurred before Acts 28. Israels 70 weeks were paused AFTER week 69 (7+62) at the fall of Israel, Stephens stoning, one year after Christs crucifixion. That was the ACCEPTABLE YEAR OF THE LORD, which ended Israels opportunity to receive their immediate kingdom. A little later, in Acts 15, Israel stopped adding to their number through their commission, and only ministered to their own group, the little flock (Peters keys), (Galatians 2:9). That left Paul to preach to, and write to the heathen, in due time. Israels Loammi status is described in some detail in Isaiah 6:11-12. That description matches what has been happening historically since Paul, inspired of God, recited Isaiah 6:9-10 to the Jewish leaders in Rome, cursing them from being Gods people, to NOT being Gods people (at that time). That is when Israel became Loammi, blinded, cast away, cut off, broken off. Acts 28:25 And when they agreed not among themselves, they departed, after that Paul had spoken one word, Well spake the Holy Ghost by Esaias the prophet unto our fathers, Acts 28:26 Saying, Go unto this people, and say, Hearing ye shall hear, and shall not understand; and seeing ye shall see, and not perceive: Acts 28:27 For the heart of this people is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes have they closed; lest they should see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them. Acts 28:28 Be it known therefore unto you, that the salvation of God is sent unto the Gentiles, and that they will hear it. Acts 28:29 And when he had said these words, the Jews departed, and had great reasoning among themselves. Think about it. In Acts 20, Paul wrote to all that be in Rome. By the time of Romans 11:2 (in Acts 20), Paul said that God HATH NOT cast away his people which he foreknew.... So, by the time of Acts 20, Israel had NOT YET been cast away. But in Romans 11:15, Paul refers to the casting away of them be the reconciling of the world.... So, according to inspired Paul, Israel future casting away was a sure thing. We read about Israel casting away and blinding in Acts 28:25-29. Israels becoming Loammi caused the separation between Daniels 69th week of years, and Daniels 70th week of years (yet to occur). But remember that Daniel 9:26 says AFTER, not at. Israels Loammi status did not occur immediately at the cross, or immediately after the cross, but it did occur, after the cross, after Christs earthly ministry including his acceptable year, working with them, and confirming the word with signs following.... (Mark 16:20). Daniel 9:26 And AFTER threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but not for himself: and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined. 27 And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate. But God will eventually set up His kingdom on earth, which will never end. Daniel 2:44 And in the days of these kings shall the God of heaven set up a kingdom, which shall NEVER BE DESTROYED: and the kingdom shall NOT be left to other people, but it shall break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms, and it shall stand FOR EVER.
