Israeli occupation forces intercepted yesterday a Red Crescent - TopicsExpress

Israeli occupation forces intercepted yesterday a Red Crescent ambulance that was making its way to the house of Amena Abdul Fatah in Hebron. The delays caused by the occupation forces have led to the deterioration of her health condition. Sadly, she was declared dead at the Hebron hospital. Israel has a documented record of gratuitously delaying ambulances attempting to cross checkpoints, resulting in inconveniences, medical complications, and even death to the sick passengers on board. In addition numerous pregnant women have not been allowed to pass through checkpoints – in many cases the mother or baby has died as a result. Between June 2003 and February 2004, 46 women delivered their babies at checkpoints – 24 of the women and 27 newborns died as a result.
