The myth that Islam brought us Mathematics, is just that, a myth. It all happened in spite of Islam not because of it. Islamic science consists of Bedouin tribal folklore, dunking flies in your drink and eating six dates a day. It is completely non-existent. Empires that were scientifically advanced like Persia, or the Byzantium were conquered by Islam who then claimed subsequent Persian and Byzantium discoveries as Islamic. This Islamic Golden Age then died as the last of the local unbelievers were killed or converted to Islam. Islam has produced no thought, philosophy or invention of its own other then Islam itself. Islam is the Word of Mohammad . Science has no place in a world which is run by the direct will of Islams teachings. Muhammad picked Allah from these gods. The Koran teaches that the world is flat. This doctrine is believed by Islamic scholars even today. The Bible revealed that the earth is round in Isaiah 40:22. It is he that sitteth upon the circle of the earth. It is also clear in the Quran that Muhammad and his Allah thought Moses lived at the time of Noah and that Jesus mother Mary was Moses and Aarons sister. If the Quran is a true miracle of God - why is it so filled with historical, scientific and other errors, including simple math? Wouldnt we expect an all-knowing Allah to be better student of history, science and math? Especially if he was getting his information straight from God Himself? Muhammad had obviously heard some Bible stories, but he seems to have got them confused and mixed up when it came out in his prophetic utterances. It is quite apparent that the Quran is simply the product of hearsay and imperfect editing from a plurality of traditions then known to Muhammad.
