Forecast for this Afternoon: Fair to partly cloudy with a few brief showers Forecast for Tonight: Cloudy with scattered showers and possible isolated thunderstorms Wind: East north easterly to East south easterly @ 10 to 30 km/h. Sea Conditions: Moderate in open water. Swells: up to 1.5 meters or up to 5.0 feet. Weather Outlook for Dominica and the Lesser Antilles Issued: 12:00 PM on Thursday, August 29, 2013 A westward moving tropical wave located just east of the Lesser Antilles is expected to generate an increase in cloudiness and shower activity later tonight into Friday morning. Thereafter, a temporary improvement in conditions is anticipated before the approach of another tropical wave on Sunday. Shower and thunderstorm activity are expected in association with the passage of this wave to last through early next week. Persons in areas prone to flooding, landslides and falling rocks should exercise caution. Moderate sea conditions are expected during the next 48 hours with swells peaking near 5.0 feet.
