Issuing an extremely heart-felt Thank You to Micah Heibel - the man who taught me: Math Rules! I just spent 90 minutes trying to determine the growth rates that agencies in Minnesota state government are using with respect to operating budget increase requests of the Governor. It wasnt pretty - and it took longer than it should have, but once I figured out I was dealing with a simple quadratic equation (if were being honest, once the internet told me I was dealing with a simple quadratic equation), I dusted off the trusty Quadratic Formula (ingrained in my memory to the tune of Where Is Thumbkin?) and made it happen. Thanks, Mr. Heibel! And once, again: Math Rules!
