It amazes me how many Canadians know nothing, or remember nothing that Canada has been doing, or about events in Canada since 2001. Its shocking how many over the last few days especially have revealed such lack of knowledge about their own country. Many dont seem to know that weve been fighting terrorism in a more profound way since 2001, not just since our latest mission in Iraq. The Afghanistan mission after 9/11 for example, sent there under a Liberal government. Many dont know weve been facing terrorist threats inside Canada for a long time as well, such as the plot by the Toronto 18 in 2006. That was a plot to storm Parliament, and behead the Prime Minister. Thankfully that threat was stopped by authorities before it could be carried out. Canadians need to wake up. Fighting terrorism isnt new, terrorist threats to and within Canada arent new. Also contrary to what many are saying, no, this isnt Harpers fault. Anyone who believes that is completely ignorant to the facts. Get your heads out of the sand people, and wake up to reality.
