It amazes me how many people base their opinions on what they read or see in the news media. The media promotes chaos, they champion controversy, and they provoke unrest. Why? Because that sells papers or gets you to tune in so they can sell more commercial slots. Its a money game. The media gives you their opinion in a 2 minute snap shot that focuses on whatever will generate ratings. I know this is hard to believe but there are even News sites that make things up. The next time you read that Jesus rode through the streets of Jerusalem on the back of a Tyrannosaurus you should probably not share that on your Facebook book wall until you do a little research. Wouldnt it be nice if the news media would focus on providing facts and positivity so that they could educate people but instead they chose to play puppet master which hurts the development of our community. We as a community should be looking for a common ground to build from so that we can move forward in a positive direction. This means taking the time to educate yourselves on important issues. This rant does not apply to Greg Pallone. He is good man and a quality reporter.
