It amazes me how much hate the ice bucket challenge is getting on the internet. Raising awareness through viral videos is a perfectly legitimate way to get the attention of people who may not be aware of the opportunities they have to donate to a medical cause. Its not any different than wearing pink to raise awareness for breast cancer or sporting a stache during Movember to raise awareness for prostate cancer. Not to mention the fact that a majority of people who are participating are in fact donating money to the cause since, last time I checked, the campain has raised almost $6 million dolllars. These people are trying to make an impact on a disease that in some cases have probably impacted people they know and love. So how about instead of dumping on all of these people we recognize the fact that maybe its okay to care about other people and the internet could use some playful positivity for a change. #BeAForceForGood #HatersGonnaHate
