It amazes me how so many of you keep posting “Jesus take the wheel” when something happens. I am also amazed that with all that is going on fewer people are volunteering for wholesome programs that will steer our kids in the right direction. I am stunned by the lack of involvement by citizens who say they want a better Bahamas but not willing to actually work for it. I am hurt by the many parents who would buy their children items and things of no real value instead of teaching what real value is….. We need more parents to be better examples for their children. Let them see you become a positive part of the community, take them with you. Let your children see you showing interest in their education so that they themselves will have an interest. Let your children know that you will not support illegal activities. You can say take the wheel as much as you like but if these prayers are not accompanied by actual work…… the rot of this society will continue. Teach our kids to want more out of life, right now they are all settling for as little as possible and when they do not get what they want they rebel and the whole country feels it…. These are teaching moments folks and no time to hide and give in. Create positive programs, help to create a more socialized and educated society, if you are unwilling to create something positive, assist someone who is…. Stop blaming everyone except ourselves, if we want it bad enough we will fight for it.
