It appears the State of Maine might be heading towards a shut down of all nonessential government agencies/employees. Is in it great to be considered nonessential in your employment? Court appointed attorneys have gone without payment for a while now. Court appointed attorneys will continue without pay until the second week of July if there is a budget or probably until two weeks after a budget is passed. The impact has been substantial on some court appointed attorneys who depend solely on court appointments. It is very difficult to run a business, pay the business bills, and then pay yourself to pay your personal bills How will a government shut down impact you?
