It arrived in this grand country 51 years and 6 months ago. I am not proud of our politicians but I shall forever be proud of what our forefathers fought for and what our soldiers continue to fight for. Despite government, this is THE greatest country on this blessed earth. I helped DJ a community party of hundreds tonight and was saddened by the fact that only a handful (literally) of people sang the national anthem. Aside from myself and my friend, I saw fewer than a handful of perople place their hands over their hearts. The vast majority were hispanics of many nationalities and I was taken aback at the lack of appreciation and gratefulness I saw around me. I felt dismayed because I know for a fact that the majority of these individuals receive foodstamps and medicaid. Aside from that alone was the fact that I did not see the appreciation for a country that has given them refuge, of their own volition. Does anyone else have an issue with this situation?
