It bothers me to hear negativity about marriage. I know I haven’t been married long and I still have a lot to learn, but I know enough to know that marriage is a wonderful gift from God! Finding someone you enjoy sharing your life with is a great blessing, but marriage is also a way for us to show forth a picture of Christ and the church. Yes, marriage requires determination, selflessness, patience, and forgiveness, but it gives us a remarkable opportunity to show unconditional love like Christ showed us. In a culture that looks down on marriage, we need to make sure we cherish it for the amazing, wonderful, tremendous blessing that it is!
