It breaks my heart that our beautiful country is embroiled in this hatred and religious fanaticism and terrorism. We are a giving country that so many have fled their own war torn countries to have freedom and peace for themselves and their families in our homeland Australia. Whilst the majority have become law abiding citizens. It seems the things we feared most about opening up our country is now sadly becoming our new reality , terrorism in our own backyards. Why oh why did we ever become involved , I know because America responded to the 9/11 but why did it hit America then when never before ? Sadly those countries have been at war since Jesus walked the earth. Why did our free worlds stick out noses in ? My parents were the children of. WW11 soldiers and knew the affects war had on their fathers and grandfathers. I , being a child born in the late 60s, heard a little of the Vietnam war but too young to understand or be affected personally. We were lucky to be raised in safety, freedom and peace . Our children now, sadly , are tragically being thrust into very scary times. I fear this is only the beginning of evil hitting our shores. Why have these people been able to immigrate so easily into our country and become our neighbours, work colleagues etc. This all seems to be religious based they want us to believe what they believe. Like Uncle Sam brainwashed young men to see the world , join for your country etc young men are being brainwashed yet again to join these extremist groups The Muslims believe in Allah. We Christians believe in God. Who cares what he is known is. All I know that God or whatever, or whoever he is supposed to be. He is about peace. About good. About love . About love one another as I have loved you. Religion is evil. Religion has caused so many world tragedies. God bless those held hostage , I cannot imagine their fear. Their children waiting for them to come home to them , their childhoods forever changed by fear . Monsters were something we were told only happened in bad dreams , they arent real. This man and all other extremists are monsters. They are brainwashed . They have chosen evil as their religion. Bless all the police, emergency workers doctors counsellors mental health workers that will be involved with these hostages in the days and weeks ahead. Please let good reign again . Please tighten our laws . Please dont let in without very stringent policies in place. Please do background checks if there is any link any concerns then no. Do not let them in. Once they are here then why are they going back ?how frequently ? Have then tracked ? I know this costs money. I know. But I for one Australian would think that that us money well spent. How much evil have we already given homes to in Australia ? No more without absolute certainty. If they escaped their countries due to war / terror then why then come to Australia and now turn Australia into the same It is time to send those extremists home that the Government and police know of. No second chances. It is time to put us and our children first.
