It bugs me to no end how liberals or progressives continue to make excuses for #President Barack Obama. Why do they feel this knee-jerk reaction to support him no matter what he does? Are they that desperate for a mascot for our movement? The conservatives are the ones who want to impeach him, while liberals defend him saying hes done nothing wrong; when we should be the ones howling for his impeachment! Why, you ask? How about undermining our free press by dismantling/disregarding whistle-blower protections? How about the disgusting, unethical and inhumane way Bradley Manning continues to be treated for his selfless and patriotic sacrifice? How about the fact that Edward Snowden had to flee the country for exposing the crimes of President Obamas administration? How about murdering American citizens without trial via our secret/illegal/unsupervised drone program? How about illegally spying on #American citizens and our allies via the #NSA, #FBI and #CIA? How about illegally starting a new war in #Iraq/#Syria? How about how his administration has refused to prosecute any of the CEOs or corporations on #WallStreet for their crimes that led to the #GreatRecession? How about how his administration stood by silently as peaceful #OccupyWallStreet protesters were brutally beaten and pepper-sprayed in the streets of #NewYork, #Oakland, #UCDavis, #Portland and numerous other cities in broad daylight; merely for exercising their constitutionally protected right of freedom of protest? President Obama has quite a few things to apologize for. His legacy will be forever tarnished by his cowardice. He is not the white knight the blind portion of the liberal wing want to pretend he is. Dont let Obama become the liberal Reagan, where we ignore his crimes in order to whitewash his record. Lets wait for a real hero/leader to symbolize our movement and beliefs and not settle for this cowardly empty-vase of a politician. He is no Kennedy or Roosevelt, hes not even a Clinton. Hes the biggest disappointment the progressives have ever elected.
