It certainly was great having pastor back home tonight for Bible Study. He certainly is a Blessing to this old man! I was looking back over Esther and was drawn to this passage over and over. Esther 9:16 Meanwhile, the remainder of the Jews who were in the kings provinces also assembled to protect themselves and get relief from their enemies. They killed seventy-five thousand of them but did not lay their hands on the plunder. There certainly is a time to celebrate, to have a feast, to be filled with joy, to rely on prayer, to understand that He is in control. Is there ever a time to substitute the Word (sword) for the metal one that kills and maims. To kill women and children as the text says permission was given for the Jews to do? Is there a time to get relief from our enemies? If we look at the circumstances that Israel finds itself in today the answer might be yes for them. When we look at the world as it increases its persecution of Christians, as we look at the attack on our Beliefs by our government we might ask is it time? As for me---I will continue to pray and to Trust Him!
