It’s just time to dispel the aid industry myth that living and working in another country somehow imbues one with some kind of special wisdom and knowledge and ability. It doesn’t. Field experience does not mean you have a clue. Having lived and worked in the field, even for years and years, doesn’t mean that you’re good at aid work.
