It dawned on me today--or maybe I just remembered again--that I work at a job where I can tell immediately whether what I do has had an impact. In news, it was when anonymous folks would just send money to a family in need that youve done a story about, or when a govt agency reconsidered a position because of what your story has brought to light. In the corporate world, its when an audience laughs and cries in the right places and shows they genuinely enjoyed the piece they just watched, or when a corporate executive tells you youre a miracle worker because of how your video adequately told the story of his division. Not everybody has that opportunity, but its just one of many things I am grateful for.
