It deeply saddens me how many times as Christians we just take other peoples word for things, issues, beliefs, etc. Why do we not do our research? Why do we not study the Word? There are so many things that we do in life without thought. Sin is sin. Whether by commission or omission. Ignorance to something is not an excuse. We are called to live a life for Christ. That means researching facts, backgrounds, and meanings. In everything we do. Everything we do is to glorify our God. Why are we so foolishly lazy? Laziness is key. We Christians do not want to research. We would rather stay ignorant. Are we not told about the ant and the sloth in the Proverbs? Who do you want to be? Someone who seeks Gods Word in EVERYTHING? Or one who just takes someone elses word and succumbs to laziness? Thankful for the encouraging and thought provoking believers God has put in my life. Believers that encourage me to seek Gods truth rather than taking other peoples word as truth.
