It didnt start out too well, about 35km in I had to pull off the road for shelter as a storm rolled in which lasted for a couple of hours. There happened to be a road base quarry sandwiched in between the road and the railway so I jumped the gate with the bike and slept up the top of that. By the time I had the tent out and the fly over the top the inside of the tent was full of water, I had to climb inside and throw everything in as I tried to mop with my wet shirt at the same time. I had to laugh though, if this is the worst then Im in for a good ride. Getting closer to Geneva with every pedal though and I hope to stop there tonight depending on how tough getting over these hills will be. Such a pikey sleeping in a quarry....
