It does pose a paradox concerning the rights and freedoms doesnt it? In so by example I find it disconcerting in the American Atheists use of scientific symbols to state religious (or lack thereof) beliefs. However if say an Atheist finds my crucifix offensive, is it not equally justified that I find his American Atheist symbols equally offensive? If such a precedence would be established (as ought perhaps), what can come of it? Either everyone sucks it up and deals with it? Or do we lose all rights to personal expression altogether? To which the law would most likely lean I think. After all, its already widely held that the 1st amendment only really protects as long as nobodys offended (lawsuits)... Otherwise youll still must spend money to defend yourself with the 1st amendment. Faceless Amish Dolls I think is our future, protected by Political Correctness.
