It doesn’t seem fair does it to have a case argued in a court of law and lose because of the potential bias of a jury. I keep hearing if “a Black juror was sitting on the panel, the outcome would have been different.” I know that to be true because of what happened in the OJ Simpson trial. I’m sure by now the majority of people in the world know that OJ was guilty. Notwithstanding, I feel that Zimmerman was guilty as well. So where are we in the scheme of things? Racism is alive and well, not only because it’s Black against White in America. Think about this; a Sunni Muslim is tried in a court of law by Shiite prosecutor; the jurors are Shiites, irrespective of the crime, will he be found guilty or not guilty? You know the answer. An Arab is walking with his family close to a Jewish settlement; he is arrested and prosecuted in an Israel court. Is he guilty or not guilty? A white man driving his car stopped at a red light is attacked by African Americans so severely that he spent 6 months in a hospital. His crime; he got off the highway to buy gas. After the arrest of three men, the jury couldn’t agree on a verdict (There were 6 whites, 2 Asians, and 4 Blacks on the jury panel who were deadlock). A few years back, two KKK killed a young Black man for no reason except for his color. Arrested and tried in a court of law, were there convicted? Of course not. Racism is alive and well, not just in America but anywhere and everywhere on Earth. Most people are racists and they don’t even know it. Take this little test. I’m White and I want to marry in a Black family, how many of my extended family on both sides will accept me for my decision? Be honest with yourself, no one is looking!
