It feels strange to say that Ive become so comfortable driving past Ground Zero when I totally avoided being near it for years after the collapse. Ive seen the new tower rise daily. Saw the spire get put in place atop. Saw the construction workers, police officers, politicians, lookie-loos, tourists and other folk... almost daily. So much so, that Im a little embarrassed to say that I forgot (?!) what today was. But I will never forget what today means!
