It had been a very challenging week to say the least. Caleb continues to make small improvements, reminding us that we still got work to do. Even through all the sleepless nights and stressful moments there is so much to be grateful for. Our team of Dr.s continue to brainstorm and connect w their colleagues to find ways to help Caleb. They spend a significant amount of time w me on the phone making sure we have the best plan possible. Our palliative nurse checks on us daily and talks w his Dr.s to help me understand what is being said. Our team at the insurance has reached out to me to get a better understanding of Calebs struggles instead of just sending out a denial letter. My employer has been extremely supportive in allowing me to step down to an on call position allowing me the opportunity to be w Caleb. And most of all an extremely supportive family and a daughter that undoubtly puts Calebs needs before her own wants and desires (at just eight years old). When you walk a day in our shoes you learn to find the good in it all and today thats what we will do!
