It happened. Tonight! I was just going through the usual routine and it snuck up on me like a sneaking sneaker! A carol! I would like to qualify...not a Christmas song like what they sing at them inaccurately named Carols, (Rudolph was not a wiseman, and Frosty did not reside as a caretaker for the local Inn that had no room), but a proper song-about-the-birth-of-Christ Carol. But I digress. The little Boodja has been a little off the last couple of nights with the bedtime routine due to her first time without mum and dad since she was born throwing her game off. Ive needed to consol her each night and reassure her well be there in the morning. Tonight, instead of going and picking her up to settle her, I decided to hum a little Celtic hymn. To my horror, as I began to hum, the first bars of While Shepherds Watched their Flocks came as a mumbled buzz across the room. This infiltration of joyous celebration is both eerie and unsettling...for me, not the child - she is outike a light!
