It has almost been 10 months since our lives have been forever changed. Caleb is still continuing to make great progress and his short term memory is coming back. He is walking 5x farther than when he came here.(around 1000ft per day) he still needs assistance with his balance but his strength, endurance and drive is definently coming back. His hearing aids seem to help him to be more relaxed but getting used to them is another story. It is a miracle we havent lost them yet! His vision seems to be improving as well. Calebs left arm and shoulder still gives him a great deal of pain and misery. Im hoping we can get him in for Botox soon. From what I hear it helps tremendously with the pain from his injury. We still have a very long and unknown road ahead of us however I still remain incredibly thankful that things have unfolded the way they have. I get to be with Caleb and the kids every week. The people that have been placed in our lives have made the unimaginable somehow bearable. I have to admit after looking thru FB this afternoon that although the circumstances are different for others there are many people that could use a lot of prayers....now that I am traveling back and forth weekly I have noticed that he misses me...he is always happy to see me for sure..Im always excited to come but dread having to leave...one thing for sure though...I dont know when but someday I will get to bring him home...God Bless.
