It has always amazed me that in a state where so much of our economic activity is related to the outdoors and recreation, we have such difficulty with our current governor and legislature regarding environmental research and protection -- ironically, they usually claim these difficulties under the guise of making Florida more business friendly. In any case, good news for the Sunshine States environment, even if it took a constitutional amendment to keep our legislatures hands out of the budgetary cookie jar.
